Trishya Screwvala


Trishya Screwvala founded The Lighthouse Project with the aim of creating structured and accessible platforms for volunteering. She believes that service is not just a duty but an extraordinary opportunity, and is passionate about creating an environment conducive to volunteering, both within and outside of the social sector.

Trishya is also trustee of The Swades Foundation, which is committed to rural empowerment through interventions in water, health, agriculture, livelihood and education and currently touches 2.5 lac people across Maharashtra. A graduate from USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program, Trishya comes from a background of producing documentaries, including “Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told” that premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and Emmy award nominated “Meet the Patels”, winner of the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival and Traverse Film Festival Audience Award.

Trishya is a trained ballet dancer under the Royal Academy of Dance. She is an avid diver and an active volunteer at New Acropolis, an international organization dedicated to philosophy, culture and volunteering.

Program Manager

Myron Anthony is a Program Manager at The Lighthouse Project. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a specialisation in Management from Mumbai University. Post this he completed the Instructional Design Course by Metamorphs Training Academy and holds a Diploma in Counseling (Person Centered Therapy) from ADMI – Goa.

Myron is a professional with a passion for Social Empowerment and loves to design and execute programs that equip people to lead empowered lives. He has a collective experience of 10 years in corporate training & content development, process analysis & improvement and operations with companies like First Source, ICICI Prudential, Aptech Training Solutions, Mexus Education and Aditya Birla.

His hobbies include social work, reading, travel and photography.

Madhura Karambelkar

Communications and Ourtreach Executive

Madhura is a Communications and Outreach Executive at The Lighthouse Project. She did her Bachelors in Economics and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Communication for Development from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai.

She started her career interning with NABARD to video document rural success stories in various states of North India. She has worked with the EdelGive Foundation where she managed communications, in-house campaigns and handled the execution of employee volunteering programmes at various NGOs in Mumbai. She has also been with the Barefoot College in Rajasthan where she worked on streamlining their Creche Programme to aid daily wage earning women workers.

Madhura takes an avid interest in street photography and loves to travel and explore new places, cultures and cuisines.

Neha Chattopadhyay

Program Coordinator

Neha Chattopadhyay is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. Neha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mumbai and recently pursued her Masters in Social Work from the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan.

Upon graduation, she joined the Akanksha Foundation as a teacher and since then she has concentrated her efforts on working with children and women. She has interned with organizations like SNEHA, Apnalaya and Cuddles Foundation and was also a part of an educational project run by Nirmala Niketan at their centre in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Her work with children ranges from education to child healthcare and wellness. She also started a student run magazine in college titled- ‘NEEV’ (The foundation) that was a platform for student writers to express their views on different social and current issues.

Neha enjoys dancing while reading is her soul food and her biggest de-stressor. She also has three kittens who are her biggest comfort.

Jeni Justin

Program Coordinator

Jeni Justin is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, from the Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda and recently completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work from College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai.

Jeni began her career as an intern with the Modern Educational, Social and Cultural Organization (MESCO), which concentrates in providing medical aid, educational aid and general aid. Thereafter, she interned at the CHILDLINE India Foundation where she conducted sessions in schools to create awareness amongst the children about child sexual abuse. Her stint at SeSTA, Assam focused on skill development of rural women in Ulubari, New Bongaigaon.

In her free time, Jeni enjoys listening to music, reading and going on spontaneous adventure trips with friends.

Anusha Pathak

Program Coordinator

Anusha Pathak is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Mass Media from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai after which she pursued her Master’s in Social Work from the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai.

Anusha began her career with an internship with Garbage Concern Welfare Society, Mumbai, where her role involved understanding and implementing Solid Waste Management practices, Environmental Solutions such as the making India Clean and Green campaign. Later she interned with Bosco Institute of Rural Development, Patiala, Punjab where she worked closely with the children living in the institute and also with women Self Help Groups formed with NABARD in nearby villages. Recently, Anusha worked with Vidi Kamgar Kalyan Pratishthan, Nasik as a Management Trainee where her focus was helping ‘Bidi’ workers and their families create better livelihoods.

Anusha is a trained Bharatnaytam dancer and her Kindle is her most loved possession as reading is the biggest stress buster for her. She loves listening to music and also travelling spontaneously.

Kunaljit Bhatta

Program Coordinator

Kunaljit Bhatta is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. He has completed his Bachelor of Arts from Digboi College. He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism Management and recently completed his Masters of Social Work with Specialization in Community Development from Dibrugarh University, Assam.

Kunaljit has worked as an intern with Kripa Foundation. Prior to that he was involved with organizations like SEWA, Gramiya Vikash Mancha, SeSTA wherein he worked closely with children, women and SHG’s. He interned with C.R.H.P (Comprehensive Rural Health Project) in Jamkhed and worked on issues relating to child health care and prenatal care. Kunaljit is particularly passionate about causes involving children and youth.

Kunaljit enjoys watching animated films, documentaries, listening to music and playing the guitar in his free time.

Vruddhi Shah

Program Coordinator

Vruddhi is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and is currently pursuing PGDBA with a specialization in Marketing from Symbiosis University.

She has earlier worked with Career Launcher (Formerly known as CL Educate Ltd), where her role was to counsel MBA & LAW aspirants for academic, professional and career development. She worked with Teach For India as a volunteer focusing on academically weak students to improve their English and Maths proficiency. She has also volunteered with Kshamata, an organisation working towards reintegrating women/girls trafficked & vulnerable to exploitation, where she assisted in skill building and fundraising for the organisation.

She loves spending time with kids and is passionate about community service. In her free time she enjoys dancing, travelling and trekking.

Mallika Mannadiar

Training Executive

Mallika Mannadiar is a Training Executive at The Lighthouse Project. Mallika did her Bachelors in Biotechnology from Mumbai University and completed her Masters in Social Work from College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan.

She has interned at Sarva Vikas Deep in Mangaon who worked with the Tribals living there. Thereafter she interned at Mentally Deficient Children’s Home, Mankhurd (MDC Home) where she took sessions for the inmates and also helped in obtaining IQ certificates and disability certificates for the inmates. Her next internship was with Kudumbashree, Kerala where she was part of the BUDS project that runs schools in every Panchayat for Intellectually Different Children. She has worked at National Addiction Research Centre where she conducted group therapy sessions for the admitted Drug and Alcohol Addicts. Recently she worked on a project involving survivors of Child Sexual Abuse at HAQ: Centre for Child Rights, Delhi.
Mallika enjoys reading in her free time and is passionate about ethnic jewellery and travel photography.
