Trishya Screwvala

Founder

Trishya Screwvala founded The Lighthouse Project with the aim of creating structured and accessible platforms for volunteering. She believes that service is not just a duty but an extraordinary opportunity, and is passionate about creating an environment conducive to volunteering, both within and outside of the social sector.

Trishya is also trustee of The Swades Foundation, which is committed to rural empowerment through interventions in water, health, agriculture, livelihood and education and currently touches 2.5 lac people across Maharashtra. A graduate from USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program, Trishya comes from a background of producing documentaries, including “Bollywood: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told” that premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and Emmy award nominated “Meet the Patels”, winner of the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival and Traverse Film Festival Audience Award.

Trishya is a trained ballet dancer under the Royal Academy of Dance. She is an avid diver and an active volunteer at New Acropolis, an international organization dedicated to philosophy, culture and volunteering.

Myron Anthony

Program Director

Myron Anthony is the Program Director at The Lighthouse Project. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a specialisation in Management from Mumbai University. Post this he completed the Instructional Design Course by Metamorphs Training Academy and holds a Diploma in Counseling (Person Centered Therapy) from ADMI – Goa. Myron is a professional with a passion for Social Empowerment and loves to design and execute programs that equip people to lead empowered lives. He has a collective experience of 10 years in corporate training & content development, process analysis & improvement and operations with companies like First Source, ICICI Prudential, Aptech Training Solutions, Mexus Education and Aditya Birla. His hobbies include social work, reading, travel and photography.

Gaurangi Lalit

Program Manager

Gaurangi is an Program Manager at The Lighthouse Project.

She holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from K. J. Somaiya College. She worked as a Senior Engineer in Business Development in Voltas Ltd for two years. Her desire to empower people led her to join The Gandhi Fellowship for 2 years, where she worked in Government schools of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan focusing mainly on improving learning outcomes for students through field visits, Teacher training workshops, Community immersions and helping students express themselves through various modes. Post that, she was a part of India School Leadership Institute in Pune, as the City Program Manager. In her role, she worked on building leadership qualities in School Leaders across Pune. The intervention in turn supported the school development and learning outcomes of students.

She has completed her Visharad in Bharatnatyam. She is passionate about trekking in the Himalayas and traveling to explore new places.

Kishika Bedi

Assistant Program Manager

Kishika Bedi is an Assistant Program Manager at The Lighthouse Project. She has completed her Masters Degree in Human Development from SNDT Women's University. Her previous experience includes working with Kotak Education Foundation, where she supported strengthening the leadership skills of school principals and teachers from low-cost private schools through workshops, individual mentoring sessions and exposure visits to create a conducive learning environment at school and to improve student learning outcomes. Prior to this, she worked with the Vipla Foundation, where she was actively involved in enhancing the knowledge, skills and attitude of Balwadi teachers from government schools. She finds joy in cooking, watching movies, exploring new places and connecting with new people!

Ashwini Kasar

Assistant Manager, Communications and Partnerships

Ashwini Kasar is an Assistant Program Manager, Communications and Partnerships at The Lighthouse Project. She holds a Master’s degree in Communications and Journalism from Mumbai University and brings over five years of experience in the communications sector. She has worked as a Public Relations Officer to former Health Minister and former Urban Development Minister. Ashwini has also been associated with Concept PR, a public relations agency, where she has been the front face for clients, partners, and the media. Additionally, she has handled Strategic Communications and Branding for the non-profit organization, Praja Foundation, where she led branding and marketing initiatives to publish research papers focusing on Health, Education, and Crime in Mumbai and Delhi, as well as some national-level studies on City Governance. Her Hobbies include singing, dancing, traveling and watching movies.

Manasi Doke

Program Coordinator

Manasi Doke is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Fergusson College, Pune. In addition, Manasi holds a master’s degree in Media & Cultural Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Manasi has interned at The Hindu Group of Publications, Mumbai, where she worked on and prepared several news articles for its Mumbai edition. She has also interned with Stree Mukti Sanghatana, Pune, where she worked closely with adolescent children & women. Manasi has also volunteered at the Social Outreach & Enabling Centre at Fergusson College, Pune, where she conducted various workshops for children on gender awareness and safety. Her hobbies include writing, watching movies, theatre plays and trekking.

Ginelle Putman

Program Coordinator

Ginelle Putman is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She has completed her master’s degree in Social Work from the College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai. She has worked with Udayan Care, which works with girls from underprivileged backgrounds, focusing on their all-round development. She has also interned with United Way Mumbai, working on various projects in the education, health, and environment fields. At Youth 4 Jobs, she worked with youth with disabilities, conducting training sessions and activities for them. She is an animal lover; she loves reading books, exploring new places and going on treks.

Parag Parab

Program Coordinator

Parag is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. Parag has completed his Bachelor of Mass Media and LLB from the University of Mumbai. He is also pursuing a Master’s in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has worked for various NGOs, including Shivsahyadri Pratishthan and Clean We Go, where he closely worked with tribal students. He also works in the environmental sector through the Clean We Go NGO. He has more than five years of experience in the social sector. His hobbies include singing, acting, playing different instruments, reading & exploring new places.

Prashik Jadhav

Program Coordinator

Prashik Jadhav is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. He has completed his bachelor's degree in Economics from Patkar Varde College, Mumbai. He has worked as a Digital Marketing intern at Urban Smiles Dental Clinic and also interned as a Business development executive at a Home automation start-up. He is an animal lover and enjoys sports and dancing too.

Tara Verghis

Program Coordinator

Tara Verghis is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She has completed her Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Environmental Science. Her background includes experience in Scientific and Academic Writing, teaching, and contributing to research projects in Marine Biology and Public Health. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, reading, watching comedy, and spending time with animals whenever she can.

Priyanka Jadhav

Program Coordinator

Priyanka Jadhav is a Program Coordinator at The Lighthouse Project. She completed her Bachelor's in Arts from Mumbai University and Bachelor's of Social Work from Indira Gandhi Open University. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Rural Development from Hinduja College (Mumbai University). She has 2 years of experience in providing life skills training to children from under resourced communities. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, painting, and cooking.
